CommodityPoint is still seeking responses from traders and consultants around non-energy commodity CTRM vendors via our survey instrument. Please do take the time to complete our survey which can be found here.
If you are a CTRM vendor please DO NOT complete the survey as your response will be diregarded. Instead – why not send it out to your customers and have them complete it???
Many Thanks,
The recently released CTRM Vendor and Product Sourcebook has been downloaded more than 1000 times in the short period it has been available. Obviously we can’t measure subsequent distribution via email etc. but we can guess that it is substantial and estimate there may be as many as 3000 copies in circulation already.
If you don’t have your copy yet – it is FREE! See the link above to get your download now.
Houston, TX USA and Brno, Czech Republic—April 6, 2010—CommodityPoint, the premier research, analyst and consulting firm covering commodity markets and technologies, today issued its CTRM Software Vendor and Product Sourcebook. The CTRM Software Vendor and Product Sourcebook is the definitive guide to the commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) software category incorporating listings for thirty-two different products across the CTRM software spectrum. The Sourcebook is available as a free download.
The CTRM product landscape has always been somewhat fractionated, with a large number of product vendors servicing component process of the commodity trading value chain, or in some cases, specific processes associated with a single commodity. Others, those generally regarded as the “Big 5″, have gained their market leading positions by providing multi-commodity solutions that, while not addressing all the business processes associated with all commodities, do address a large portion of the functionality required by the largest energy and commodity trading operations around the world. Traditionally, most have focused more on the financial trading side providing straight through processing for paper trades while offering some degree of functionality for the physical trading but perhaps lacking operations and logistical management for physical trading.
CommodityPoint was created to help to bring focus and clarity to the broad array of issues surrounding the wholesale trading of commodities. Our team provides expert analysis of market trends and, in particular, the technologies and applications supporting those that participate in regional or global commodity markets.
