CommodityPoint is seeking to add an analyst covering Europe & Asia-Pacific. The successful candidate can be located anywhere in Europe and amongst other skills and experience, should have the following;
Candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or MIS/IT, and have at least 2 years of work experience either with a wholesale commodity/energy trading company or a provider of software solutions or services to that market.
Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytic skills; and have strong, demonstrable experience with MS Office family of products, including EXCEL, Word, and Access.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, marketing or business. Master’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in wholesale energy/commodity trading industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Word Office software.
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills (written, reading comprehension, listening, verbal, presentation).
• Proven ability to manage in a constantly changing environment with the ability to multi-task and deal with ambiguity.
• Strong customer service and people skills.
• Experience in some or all of the following:
o CTRM Software development and/or implementation
o Market research
o IT Infrastructure
o Data Storage
o Data Warehouse
