A new Industry Views paper is available both on this site and also on utilipoint.com (white papers). The paper features contributions by four vendors on the topic of next generation CTRM software.

I don’t usually post news about vendor awards and quadrangle placings as I believe them to be self serving nonsense in the most part lacking in any real substance. However, this one did catch my eye as being noteworthy. JustCommodity, an Asian vendor of agricultural CTRM software primarily has announced that it had achieved a Compound Annual Growth Rate (“CAGR”) of 131.63% over a three year period and has grown its headcount and operations from a small 2 man team in Singapore to over 60 employees across Asia.

An Interview with Eldon Klaasson, CEO of Allegro Development, Inc.

Posted by Gary M. Vasey On August - 26 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS

Eldon Klaassen, CEO of Allegro Development, is one of a select group of entrepreneurs who can be credited with creating the ETRM and, broader CTRM, class of software. That group would also include the likes of Mike Montgomery (TransGas/TransEnergy), Dick Couron (DC Systems), Michael Smith (Ensyte Energy Software), Peter Armstrong (Triple Point), Rusty Braziel (Altra), Brad Anderson (SolArc) and perhaps one or two others. Only Eldon and two others on that list are still actively involved in steering the software category to maturity at the helm of their companies.

SolArc Focuses on Risk Management

SolArc appears to be having success with their new Risk Solutions Group. Last year they hired Dr. Rick Boesch, who has constructed a number of successful risk applications and solutions for CSFB, Deutsche and Sungard. The New York Observer recently reported that they are expanding their New York office. I recently caught up with Rick Boesch, Managing Director of Risk Solutions and Alan Gunn, VP of Product Marketing to understand what their plans are given the recent news.
